Membership
How do I become a member and how long until I’m approved?
Download the EVie App and complete your application. Once your membership has been approved, you’ll receive an email confirmation. You’ll need this to log in and reserve.
Please allow up to 24 hours for it to be processed. The approval process is simple, and we do work fast to get you on the road as soon as we possibly can. We will need to authorise your credit card and also verify your driver’s license is valid. International members may take longer to get approved.
How old do I need to be to become an EVie member?
You need to be over 23 years and under 80 years to be eligible for an EVie membership
Who can drive the cars?
Only the person making the booking can drive the vehicle.
Reservations
Vehicles can be booked for a minimum of 1 hour. If you require a reservation extension, a minimum of 30 minutes can be added.
Just log in to the EVie app, choose the beginning and end time you want a vehicle for and you will see the vehicles that are free for you to use for that time. (On Demand can only be reserved 15 minutes in advance). Click “Book”. You can make a reservation 24/7 with as little or as much notice as you like.
The vehicle details will be visible on your selection. This includes vehicle make, name and model.
If you’re interested in reserving a vehicle for more than 7 days, please send an email to support@evie.je so we can provide our long rental rate. Please note, this is not part of our normal service and we hold the right to decline such requests. Criteria includes vehicle availability, location and membership history.
50% payment for reservation is charged when you book with the remaining balance charged at the end. If any additional charges are incurred during your trip these will be added at the end of the reservation.
Amending my reservation
Providing that another member does not have a reservation immediately after yours, you can extend your trip using the EVie app
Cancelling my reservation
Reservations can be cancelled on the Evie app. Head to the ‘my trips’ and select the reservation that needs to be cancelled.
Since this is a community, cancelling as soon as possible will allow another Member to reserve the vehicle. If you decide you no longer want the vehicle, you need to allow us time to offer the vehicle out to someone else.
For a Rental Period of less than eight (8) hours, you must do so at least three (3) hours before the scheduled start time of the Rental Period otherwise you may be liable for a cancellation fee.
For a Rental Period of eight (8) hours or more, you must do so at least twenty four (24) hours before the scheduled start time of the Rental Period otherwise you may be liable for a cancellation fee.
If you cancel or shorten a reservation outside of the applicable window, you may be subject to charges or cancellation fees as described in the EVie t&c's.
How do overnight charges work?
If you would like to keep the car overnight, the system will automatically apply the day rate which provides 24 hours of usage, for a fixed fee, from the initial rental start time. Check our website for day rates or contact us for more information.

Insurance
Every member who follows the rules is covered by our insurance whilst driving an EVie vehicle: Full details available within our terms conditions.
Mileage
No, there are no mileage limitations on either island. You cannot go off-island without pre authorized, written permission! Please be aware that electric vehicles need to be recharged and a EVolve charging fob can be found in all vehicles!
Can I take a one way trip?
Our normal Car and Van Hire service (A2A) is round trip only. That means the vehicle must always we brought back to it's original pick up location.
Our micro car - On Demand (A2B) service is zonal based, this means you can pick up and collect and any of the A2B zones across the island. Each zone has a parking limit which is shown in realtime on the EVie App. You must not exceed the parking limit shown on the app. If you do exceed this limit you may be liable for a fleet movement charge.
Where are the keys and what do I use them for?
Most of our vehicles do not require a physical key. All of our vehicles are accessed via the EVie app and the key icon. If using our A2A service the vehicle will be allocated to you approx 1-2 minutes prior to the booking commencing. If using our A2B service the vehicle is reserved for 15 minutes for free from the moment you book.
Some of our vans have a physical key in the glove box which is only used for starting and stopping the ignition. The EVie app is used for starting, ending and pausing the trip. The system will not allow you to end the trip unless you return the physical key to the key fob holder in the glovebox.
Charging up your vehicle
Power is on us!
One of the responsibilities of usage is to maintain a reasonable level of charge within the vehicle, this limits any potential battery damage and recovery fees being incurred by you. We have set a benchmark of 20 miles charge, below this and it is the responsibility of the member to recharge the vehicle. This can be done at any compatible Evolve charging point on the island. There is an Evolve charge fob in each vehicle.
If your station or chosen drop of zone has a charging point we would request that you plug your vehicle in after each booking. All fees for charging are included in your booking.
We endeavour to have the vehicles charged overnight ready for action the next day. However, if you need to charge during your rental there are several ways to do so.
Evolve and EVie charge points
If you see the charge level dropping below 20 mile range, we need you to visit either an EVie or Evolve charging station. There is an Evolve charge fob in each vehicle and all charging fees are booked to EVie, not you. In the event you do pay for a charge, please send us a copy of the receipt along with your booking reference by email and we will reimburse you.
For a recharge at either an EVie or Evolve chargepoint, either use the lead provided by the chargepoint, or the lead in the vehicle to attach to the chargepoint. Follow the instructions on the chargepoint. Use your Evolve charge fob to pay for the charge. Please be advised it can take several hours to fully recharge the vehicle. This is recommended ONLY for FULL DAY bookings.
Home charging
If you plan to take the vehicle and charge at home please let us know and we can supply a home charging cable that works with a regular three pin plug. For a home charge, please be advised this will take several hours for a full recharge. Simply plug the home charge lead into a three pin plug and the other end into the vehicle’s charge socket. This is recommended ONLY for 24hr bookings.
Please note, it is not possible to reimburse you for any home charging.
