EVie Launches Flexible Excess Protection
At EVie, we’re always listening to customer feedback.
One thing we hear regularly is that while people love the flexibility of shared electric mobility, some users still worry about vehicle excess.
That’s completely understandable.
Accidents happen. Mistakes happen. Even experienced drivers like additional peace of mind.
That’s why we’ve launched EVie Protection.
Customers can now choose between two optional levels of excess reduction cover across our A2B, car and van services.
Most importantly, the protection works the same way EVie works: Flexible and simple.
Protection can be added by the hour or by the day depending on your trip.
What does EVie Protection do?
EVie Protection reduces the amount you may need to pay if accidental damage occurs during your booking.
Customers can choose from two levels:
Protection Plus or Protection Premium
The level of excess reduction depends on the type of vehicle being used.
Excess Levels
A2B / Micro Cars
Standard Excess: £1,500 Protection Plus: £750 Protection Premium: £395
A2A Cars
Standard Excess: £1,500 Protection Plus: £795 Protection Premium: £475
A2A Vans
Standard Excess: £1,500 Protection Plus: £995 Protection Premium: £675
Designed Around Real Usage
Traditional excess insurance products are often designed around annual policies or long-term rentals.
EVie is different.
Many trips are short, spontaneous and flexible. So we wanted protection that matched the service itself.
Whether you need a vehicle for one hour, one evening or a full day, customers can choose the level of reassurance that suits them.
Flexible Mobility Should Feel Accessible
Shared mobility only works when people feel comfortable using it.
By introducing flexible excess protection, we hope more customers feel confident trying EVie for commuting, business travel, airport transfers, shopping trips and day-to-day journeys.
Simple transport. Simple pricing. Simple protection.
Because sometimes… $hit Happens.
