We Need Your Help

Dear EVieBike member,

It was another good weekend and many of you took the opportunity to get out on an #EVieBike. We are a new business in Jersey trying our best to provide a service for anyone and everyone to enjoy.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THINGS BETTER!

  1. REPORT A PROBLEM
  2. POWER SETTINGS
  3. ADDING MORE BIKE RACK LOCATIONS ON THE APP
  4. COMMUNICATION WITH US

1.    REPORT A PROBLEM

Please use the ‘Report a Problem’ feature in the Freebike app to report any issues. Some people are  leaving their bikes abandoned if they have a problem. This means the next person who hires that bike finds the same problem. If we know something about it, we can do something to fix it.

To report a problem, open the Freebike app and look for the Triangle with the exclamation mark icon to open the ‘Report a Problem’ facility. Choose a category that best describes the issue. There is a facility to upload a pic if you need to.

2.    POWER SETTINGS

Some people have reported a lack of power from the engine. This may be because the bike power settings are set too low for you. It is easy to check and change the power settings. Open ‘Settings’ in the app and look for the cog icon (3rd one down). Where you see ‘engine profile’, slide the green cursor across to the far right (max power).

3.    ADDING LOCATIONS OF MORE BIKE RACKS

We haven’t managed to plot all the bike racks on the island onto the Freebike app. If you think you have found one that should be on it (and help people avoid the £2.00 out of station fee), please use google maps to ‘Pin’ the location and then email it with a description of where to [email protected].

4.    COMMUNICATION WITH US

In this age of social media we are being contacted on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Twitter and email. It is almost impossible to monitor all of them all the time however much we love to hear from you.

We greatly appreciate your comments, suggestions, feedback and pictures. If you want us to respond quickly (including reporting lost or abandoned bikes), the best way is via the ‘Report a Problem’ icon on the Freebike app. This way we are sure to receive your message in a timely manner and can respond to it as soon as possible. The report will be logged on our systems. We simply can’t promise to react wuickly by monitoring every social media channel 24 hrs a day.

And lastly, a reminder to look out for the instructional YouTube videos. They are designed to answer some of the most common questions that come up. I can strongly recommend watching the ‘Pause’ video here. Pausing a bike allows you to keep it in your possession even when you stop, mid rental, to admire the view or take a stroll. The length of time you can put your bike on ‘Pause’ depends on the tariff you have chosen. Please check this on the app under the personal account icon (second one down, head and shoulders) or on the website.

Thank you for your support and for using #EVieBike.

Please email any feedback to [email protected].

Stay safe, enjoy your ride, and as ever please be responsible for your own sanitising and keep within the social distancing guidelines.
